Houston Texans DFS Spin
Texans S Jimmie Ward (hip) will not play in Week 1 against the Ravens. Ward followed DeMeco Ryans from San Francisco to Houston this offseason. On top of his talent, Ward’s experience in Ryans’ system was set to be a notable boost for a relatively young defense. Now an already weak Houston defense will face Lamar Jackson and the Ravens while down a starting safety. Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin
Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey (foot) has been ruled out for Week 1 against the Texans. Humphrey wasn’t really expected to play. He missed every practice this week and was rumored to be at risk of missing the opener back in mid-August after undergoing foot surgery. It’s possible Humphrey could return in Week 2 when the Ravens take on the Bengals, but for now, Rock Ya-Sin and Ronald Darby will be tasked with leading the secondary against the Texans

Texans vs. Ravens Prediction:
Give me Houston. Yes, the Texans are breaking in a new head coach in Demeco Ryans, a new quarterback in C.J. Stroud and a new era of football for a team that has been a doormat in the AFC South for several years now. That said, the Ravens are breaking in a new offensive coordinator in Todd Monken and nobody knows what to expect from him in regards to setting up a new offense for Lamar Jackson. (For the record, I think Monken will do wonders for Lamar’s game, but it might take a month or two for Jackson and his new play-caller to settle in.) Houston’s defensive front is underrated and I expect the Texans to be prepared under Ryans, who was an outstanding defensive coordinator for the 49ers before making the transition to head coach.
