Texans vs. Ravens NFL MNF Predictions Against the Spread 11/27/17

Texans vs. Ravens Prediction

Will the Houston Texans cover the point spread tonight as a road underdog when they visit the Baltimore Ravens for Monday Night Football? Kickoff for tonight’s game is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.

Who Oddsmakers Like: Baltimore. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Ravens are 7.5-point home favorites to beat the Texans, who opened as 7-point road underdogs. The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 38 but has been bet up to 38.5.

Who the Public Likes: Baltimore. As of Monday morning, 53% of betting tickets were on the Ravens minus the points to cover the spread.

Who the Trends Like: The under and Baltimore. In the last four meetings between these two teams in Baltimore, the under is 4-0. The combined score has also fallen under the total in four of the last five meetings between these two teams. The home team, meanwhile, is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams.

Who We Like: Houston. I don’t feel comfortable laying 7.5 points with the Ravens, who were actually out-gained a week ago in their 23-0 win over the Packers. Baltimore ranks 31st in total yards, dead last in passing yards per game, 13th in rushing and 18th in points scored. Yes, they own the No. 2 defense in the league and are facing Tom Savage, but that didn’t matter much last night when Brett Hundley went into Pittsburgh and hung 28 points against an excellent Steelers defense. Sh$t happens.

The Texans are 21-7-2 against the spread in their last 30 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game. The Ravens, meanwhile, are 6-13-1 against the number in their last 20 games when playing a team with a losing record. They’re also 1-4-1 against the number in their last six games following a win of more than 14 points. I just don’t trust Baltimore’s offense enough to lay the touchdown.
