There’s value in betting Jonathan Stewart to rush over 67.5 yards in SB50

How to bet Stewart’s SB50 rushing total

Will Jonathan Stewart rush for over or under his rushing total in Super Bowl 50? There’s value in betting on the over, and here’s why.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have set the over/under at 67.5 for the number of yards that Stewart will rush for on Sunday versus the Broncos. The reason why there’s value in betting the over 67.5 is because Stewart has rushed for 68 or more yards in seven straight games.

Granted, the Broncos finished third in the league this year in rushing yards allowed, surrendering just 83.6 yards per game. But given how good Carolina’s defense is, coupled with Peyton manning’s limitations, it’s likely that Denver won’t build a big lead on the Panthers and force them to pass.

In fact, it’s more likely that Carolina builds a lead and will look to salt away clock in the second half by using Stewart (thus adding to his rushing total). In fact, if you like the Panthers to cover the 6-point spread then you can imagine them building a lead and giving Stewart plenty of carries in the fourth quarter. Perhaps you can double-dip with Carolina and over 67.5 on Stewart’s rushing prop.
