NFL Week 6 Survivor Picks
If you’re reading this, it means you didn’t pick the Pittsburgh Steelers in your Week 5 survivor pool. Congratulations. Now what?
Here are three teams to consider for your Week 6 NFL survivor pool.
Denver Broncos
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Broncos are 11.5-point home favorites against the Giants on Sunday. Not only is Denver one of the biggest favorites in Week 6, the Broncos are far and away the safest play on the board this week. That’s because they’re facing a winless Giants team that won’t have Odell Beckham Jr. or Brandon Marshall, both receivers are out for the year with ankle injuries. Eli Manning has also been horrendous behind a bad offensive line and the Giants’ defense hasn’t been as good as it was a year ago. Bottom line, the Giants might not score against Denver’s outstanding defense. The Broncos are a great Week 6 play. (Check out our advanced matchup report on this game and other Week 6 matchups.)
Atlanta Falcons
Assuming you didn’t take the Falcons in Week 1 (narrow victory over the Bears on the road) or were burned by them in Week 4 (a home loss to the Bills), then Atlanta is a solid survivor pool play this Sunday. The Falcons are coming off their bye and should have Julio Jones back after he missed the entire second half of the Buffalo game due to an injury. The Falcons have also had two weeks to prepare for a Dolphins team that has won two games this season despite poor play from quarterback Jay Cutler. Miami also dealt with some controversy earlier this week when its offensive line coach Chris Foerster resigned after a video of him snorting a white powder off his desk went viral. Yikes.

Washington Redskins
The Redskins will host a 49ers team that has been competitive this season, but one that has also played two extra quarters over the past two weeks. A week after losing to the Cardinals in overtime, the Niners flew to Indianapolis and proceeded to lose to the Colts in OT as well. Now, after traveling in back-to-back weeks and playing a total of 10 quarters the past two Sundays, they hit the road again in Week 6. This is a bad spot for the Niners, especially after the Redskins had a bye week in Week 5. (Public bettors are split on this matchup, which is somewhat surprising.)
