3 Teams on Upset Alert in NFL Week 12
Last week we recommended backing the Texans and Colts with both not only covering the spread but scoring huge upsets as outright winners!
Let’s take a look at three teams on upset alert this week and see if we can keep crushing the books with our NFL picks!
New York Jets vs. Houston Texans
Sunday, November 28, 2021 – 1:00 PM ET at NRG Stadium, Houston, TX
There is no loyalty when it comes to sports betting because those who bet based purely on emotion are often the same who curse their own teams when they don’t perform up to expectations. But guess what? Those same fans will do it all over again and expect different results.
Well, just because we scored a huge upset with the Texans last week doesn’t mean we are going back to the well. No, as a matter of fact, we are fading the Texans because even though they defeated the Titans last week, 22-13, as 10 ½ point road dogs, we should understand that Ryan Tannehill was a mess in throwing four picks and Tennessee actually outgained Houston, 420 to 190, in net yards.
That was a lucky day for the Texans and while the New York Jets are not world-beaters, can we really envision the Texans laying points against anyone? Well, the books want you to lay 2 ½ to 3 for the privilege but we’re turning that sideways and backing the Jets here with hopefully Joe Flacco pulling the trigger. Otherwise, the golden boy, Zach Wilson, may have had enough time to look at game tape and figure out a way to use his prolific athletic abilities to burn a rather anemic Texans’ defense, ranked 27th against the pass.
And don’t forget that BMR has an NFL Week 12 Parlay so make sure to check it out because those guys have been on fire!

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos
Sunday, November 28, 2021 – 4:05 PM ET at Empower Field at Mile High Denver, CO
The Chargers are hot off the heels of a 41-37 shootout with the Steelers last week as Justin Herbert torched the Pittsburgh secondary early and often with 382 yards, three passing touchdowns, and one pick. The second-year quarterback also picked up 90 yards rushing while running back, Austin Ekeler, had a pair of rushing touchdowns.
And while that looks like a very tempting team to bet on, especially against a Broncos squad that dropped a 30-13 decision to the Eagles in their last performance, it might not be as clear-cut as you would be led to believe. Denver has had two weeks to rest up and prepare for this divisional tilt with the Bolts and has won three of their last four meetings between the teams.
The key here is the Broncos’ ability to run the ball, chew up the clock, and keep Justin Herbert off of the field. I think they can do that and that is the key to Denver not only covering but winning this game outright. They will be at home and well-rested while the Chargers will be running on gas after their several consecutive shootouts.
Upset Alert: Broncos +3 (-125) or +135 on the moneyline at Intertops
Los Angeles Rams vs. Green Bay Packers
Sunday, November 28, 2021 – 4:25 PM ET at Empower Field at Mile High Denver, CO
According to the NFL odds as of this writing, the Packers are anywhere from 1 to 1 ½ -point home favorites in this NFC marquee matchup on Sunday. And while getting an underdog at plus a point is hardly a stunning upset, it technically qualifies as an upset nonetheless.
The Rams have several things going for them not the least of which revenge after the Packers bounced them from the postseason last year. We should also note that this team is coming off of consecutive losses but they have had two weeks to listen to the naysayers and get well coming off of their bye week.
Lastly, the Packers are an injury-riddled team missing virtually their entire offensive line and even some of their backups. Aaron Rodgers is going to lose a limb on Sunday after Aaron Donald and company get after him. Watch the Rams destroy the Pack at Lambeau and get paid!
Upset Alert: Packers +1 ½ (-120) or +100 on the moneyline at Heritage
