Thursday Cross-Sport Parlay: Will Broncos Pull off Outright Upset?

Thursday Cross-Sport Parlay Thursday Cross-Sport Parlay

Will the Broncos pull off the outright upset tonight in L.A.? Will Georgia Southern cover versus a depleted Sam Houston State squad? Read on for our Thursday Cross-Sport Parlay.

Wednesday Cross-Sport Parlay Recap

My three-leg parlay on Wednesday consisted of the Maple Leafs (+112), the Cal-UNLV under 46.5 in the LA Bowl and the Creighton Bluejays (-3.5) over Georgetown. While Toronto pulled off the upset in Dallas and the Golden Bears and Rebels cashed the under in the bowl game, the Bluejays completely sh*t the bed versus the Hoyas. Apparently Creighton didn’t fell like playing last night and god love the Bluejays, they didn’t. Just completely sh*t stomped last night.

CFB Thursday Cross-Sport Parlay: Georgia Southern -3.5 (-120), 7:00 p.m. ET

Sam Houston State will be missing significant pieces ahead of tonight’s game. Leading rusher Jay Ducker is in the portal, as is top tackler Caleb Weaver, corner David Fisher, linebacker Trey Fields and top pass-rusher Chris Murray. That’s just some of what could be missing tonight for the Bearcats. They could also be missing other defensive linemen as well.

Did I mention Sam Houston State can’t score? Because it can’t score. The Bearkats score just 72% of the time in the red zone and their field goal kicker is shaky. Not a good recipe for success.

I expect Georgia Southern to control this game from the outset. The Eagles will grind clock, play good defense against a suspect offense and earn a bowl victory for them, as well as a cover for us.

NBA Thursday Cross-Sport Parlay: Brooklyn Nets +3.5 (-105), 7:40 p.m. ET

The Nets have won seven out of the last 10 meetings between these two teams, which includes taking three out of the four matchups a season ago. Better bet, Brooklyn is also 7-3 against the spread in its last 10 games versus Toronto as well. While the Nets have lost three straight games overall and two of three at the window, the Raptors have lost five consecutive games straight up. They’re 7-2-1 against the spread over that span, but they’re used to being heavy underdogs, not favorites.

NHL Thursday Cross-Sport Parlay: Pittsburgh Penguins (+126), 8:10 p.m. ET

The Penguins have taken seven out of the last 10 meetings between these two teams, including three out of the last five matchups played in Nashville. Pittsburgh is also the better overall team at the moment. While the Penguins have won seven out of their last 10 games entering play tonight, the Predators are just 2-8 over their last 10 contests. With wins in two of its last three games, Nashville has been better of late. That said, the Predators have still cost betters over $500 over their last 10 games and aren’t too far removed from an eight-game losing streak.

NFL Thursday Cross-Sport Parlay: Denver Broncos +126, 8:16 p.m. ET

I think the Broncos are just the better team right now. Bo Nix struggled more last week than the final score would indicate, but the Denver defense is legit. The Broncos force turnovers (often converting those turnovers into big plays) and they can get after the passer. Justin Herbert is banged up for the Chargers and they haven’t been the same offensively since J.K. Dobbins went down with an injury. If Nix can avoid turning the ball over like he failed to do last week, then I like the Broncos to eek one out tonight in L.A.

4-Leg Cross-Sport Parlay Odds: +1792 (Fanduel Sportsbook)
