Line moves in Falcons-Saints matchup
NFC South rivals clash on Thursday night when the Saints host the Falcons at 8:25PM ET. Over the past few hours, the line has moved back and forth off a key number.
The unbeaten Falcons opened as a 3.5-point favorite but the line was quickly bet down to 3 and stayed at that number throughout the week. After jumping back up to 3.5 this morning, over the last hour or so the point spread was bet back down to 3. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, that’s where the line currently sits.
As for the total, it opened at 51 before jumping to 51.5. After dropping back down to 51 earlier on Thursday, the number jumped a full point to 52. Public bettors tend to like the over in prime time games, so it’s not surprising to see oddsmakers bump up the total as we draw closer to kickoff.
The Falcons are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games versus the Saints but the underdog is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings and the home team is 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings between these two teams. The under is also 4-1 in the last five meetings but the over is 5-2 in the last seven games between these two teams in New Orleans.
