Giants vs. Eagles Prediction
NFC East rivals clash tonight in Philadelphia for Thursday Night Football. Can the Eagles pull off the upset over the Giants?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Giants are currently 2.5-point road favorites over the Eagles for tonight’s game, while the total currently sits at 41.5 points. New York did opened as a 3-point favorite before the number was bet down, while the total hit the board at 42 before also being bet down.
The Giants have several plays questionable for tonight’s game, including tackles Marshall Newhouse and Will Beatty, linebacker Jonathan Casillas and pass-rusher Owa Odighizuwa. But the biggest injury question mark is cornerback Janoris Jenkins, who left last Sunday’s win over the Lions due to a back injury. He practiced on a limited basis on Tuesday and is on track to play, but he seems like a true game time decision.
The Eagles will get a couple of their offensive line back this week, including right tackle Lane Johnson, who is done serving his 10-game suspension for performance-enhancers. Allen Barbre is questionable with a hamstring injury but is fully expected to play as well. Babre will kick back to left guard next to Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters now that Johnson has assumed his place back at right tackle.

OUR PREDICTION: The Giants have been a poor bet against the Eagles in recent meetings, covering just once in their last five games versus Philadelphia. The Eagles have lost eight of their last 10 games but they clearly still fighting, as evidence of their narrow losses to the Redskins and Ravens over the past two weeks. With the Giants playing on the road and off a short week, I like the home dog in this spot. The Eagles are 4-2 at home this season and have generally looked like a much better team at Lincoln Financial Field than on the road this season.
