Tebow makes preseason debut for Eagles
PHILADELPHIA, PA (The Spread) – Tim Tebow made his preseason debut with the Eagles on Sunday and even found the end zone in garbage time.
Tebow finished 6-of-12 for 69 yards in the Eagles’ 36-10 win over the Colts on Sunday. He also rushed for 15 yards and scored a touchdown in garbage time as his performance was rather uneven on the day. He started off well, showing accuracy and poise, but then he started to struggle while taking a number of sacks on third down.
Tebow is competing with Matt Barkley to be Chip Kelly’s No. 3 quarterback. Assuming he doesn’t suffer a setback in his rehab from ACL surgery, Sam Bradford is the projected starter and Mark Sanchez will be his backup. The 28-year-old Tebow looks to be a long shot to make the roster.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book GT Bets, the Eagles are 25/1 to win the 2016 Super Bowl.
