Tennessee Titans DFS Spin
Ryan Tannehill completed 20-of-33 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans’ 21-20, Week 1 loss to the Giants. Tannehill completed less than 50% of his passes in the first half, throwing for 131 yards and one score — a seven-yard touchdown pass to Dontrell Hilliard. The Titans would lead 13-0 at halftime thanks to two Randy Bullock field goals in the second quarter, but Tannehill and the Titans were limited to just seven points in the second half. Despite the low-scoring second half, Tannehill would complete 12-of-16 passes in the final two quarters, with his second touchdown coming on a 23-yard pass to Hilliard, again. Looking to setup a game-winning field goal late in the fourth quarter, Tannehill completed four passes for 38 yards to get the Titans in range for a 47-yard attempt, which would be missed to secure a Giants’ victory. Tannehill and the Titans started slow, but he rebounded for an otherwise solid performance with his new receiving corps. He’ll be difficult to trust next Monday night as anything more than a QB2 against the Bills.
Buffalo Bills DFS Spin
Josh Allen completed 26-of-31 passes for 297 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in the Bills 31-10, Week 1 win over the Rams, adding 10 carries for 56 additional yards and a touchdown. It was a team effort as the Bills roughed up the defending champions in their own house, with Allen making quick decisions and dealing dimes and Buffalo’s defensive line spending the entire evening in Matthew Stafford’s grill. Despite the two “interceptions,” Allen was nearly flawless, completing his first 10 passes and locking onto each of Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis. Allen’s picks were actually the fault of his wideouts, with Isaiah McKenzie batting INT No. 1 up in the air and Jamison Crowder letting Troy Hill run his route for him on INT No. 2. Allen’s most impressive score was his 53-yard bomb to Diggs in the fourth, flicking his wrist on the run as Diggs coasted by Jalen Ramsey. For his rushing score, Allen displayed his rare quarterback running power and willed the ball past the plane. The game was the complete Allen package. The Titans are on tap for a Monday Night Football test in Week 2.
