Titans vs. Colts Week 15 Odds
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – Fighting for the last spot in the AFC playoff picture, the Titans head to Indy this Sunday to take on the winless Colts.
TENNESSEE: Heading into Week 15 the Titans are currently on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoff picture in the AFC. If the postseason were to start today they would be seventh in the conference, putting them just behind the Jets, who would qualify as the sixth and final seed in the AFC. The good news is that the Titans still have three weeks to make up one game and they do have tie-breaker wins over the Bengals and Raiders based on best win percentage in conference games. Of course, Tennessee could have improved its playoff chances by upsetting New Orleans in Week 14, which the Titans nearly did. Rookie Jake Locker replaced Matt Hasselbeck in the first half and had the Titans knocking on the door of a potential game-winning scoring. He unfortunately took a sack as time expired, handing the Saints a 22-17 victory.
INDIANAPOLIS: Nothing continues to go right for the winless Colts, who dropped their 13th consecutive game of the season with a 24-10 loss to the Ravens in Baltimore last Sunday. That dropped their record to 0-13 and 4-9 against the spread as they failed to cover as a 16.5-point underdog. The No. 1 overall pick in next April’s draft is about the only thing Indy fans have to look forward to at this point. That, and the end of the miserable 2011 season, that is.
ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed the Titans as a 6.5-point favorite over the Colts, while the over/under total for this game is currently sitting at 41 points. Tennessee enters the game with a 7-6 overall record and is 3-3 on the road, while Indianapolis is 0-13 overall and 0-6 at home.
TRENDS: The under is 6-0 in the last six meetings between these two teams in Indianapolis and 11-2 in the last 13 meetings overall. The Titans are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 games against the Colts, but the home team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings between these two teams.
