Tennessee Titans DFS Spin
Ryan Tannehill completed 22-of-34 passes for 291 yards in the Titans’ 20-16, Week 12 loss to the Bengals, adding two rushes for nine additional yards. 69 of Tannehill’s passing yards came on a second quarter screen to Derrick Henry. It should have been a 75-yard touchdown, but the Big Dog fumbled near the goal line. Treylon Burks recovered the ball in the end zone for a score, but it doesn’t go in the box score as a Tanne TD. Elsewhere, Tannehill found emerging rookie Treylon Burks for 4/70 but also seemed to be having trouble with his injured ankle. He was moving very gingerly. Burks’ emergence is stabilizing Tannehill’s floor, but ceiling remains elusive in this run-first attack. Tennessee gets Philadelphia’s elite pass defense in Week 13
Philadelphia Eagles DFS Spin
Jalen Hurts completed 16-of-28 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ Week 12 win over the Packers, adding 157 yards on 17 carries. Hurts became the first player in NFL history to rush and pass for 125 yards or more in a half and set the Eagles franchise record for most rush yards in a game with 157 yards on the ground, passing Michael Vick’s record. He surpassed the 100-yard rushing mark in the first quarter alone on a night the Eagles rushed for a total of 363 yards against the hapless run defense of the Packers. His pass-catchers didn’t do him any favors through the air as there were multiple dropped balls throughout the game, which could have made his night even more grand. That said, fantasy managers will be hard-pressed to find any holes in the breakout quarterback’s game. Hurts and the Eagles take the league’s top record into a Week 13 matchup with the 7-4 Titans, where Hurts will maintain his high-end QB1 status.
