Ryan Tannehill completed 11-of-24 passes for 121 yards with a touchdown and an interception and had three carries for 55 yards and a rushing TD in the Titans’ Week 16 loss to the Packers. This was a rough game for Tannehill, who averaged 5.0 YPA. Tannehill salvaged his fantasy night on a 42-yard TD run where he went untouched down the middle of the field on a third-and-1. The Titans offense got down early and trailed the entire game, but snow conditions and a lopsided time of possession led to just 24 attempts for Tannehill. The Titans will now have to clinch the AFC South in a Week 17 matchup with the Texans. They can clinch a playoff spot with a Colts loss to the Jaguars.
Houston Texans DFS Spin
Deshaun Watson (hand) said he’ll play in Week 17 against the Titans. Watson injured his throwing hand near the end of Week 16’s loss to the Bengals. He required help from trainers to make it back to the sideline, where they evaluated the injury. Interim head coach Romeo Crennel said Watson “got it banged up but he was able to come back. He felt good about it. The doctors didn’t think anything major was an issue.” Watson confirmed he’ll suit up next week against the Titans and their disastrous secondary and nonexistent pass rush.
Titans vs. Texans Betting Prediction
The Titans have failed to cover in five of their last six meetings with the Texans in Houston, while the home team has covered in seven of the previous nine meetings in this series. The Titans are also just 10-23-1 against the spread in their last 34 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game and are 6-19-1 against the number in their last 26 road games versus a team with a losing home record.
