Updated Super Bowl Odds: Week 7
(The Spread) – Even though the Green Bay Packers blew them out on Sunday Night Football in Week 6, the Houston Texans remain favored to win the 2013 Super Bowl, although they do have company at the top.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Texans, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers are all 6/1 to win the 2013 Super, respectively. Ironically, all three teams also lost in Week 6, as the Texans were beaten at home by the Packers, the Patriots were beaten by the Seahawks in Seattle, and the Niners were crushed by the Giants in San Francisco.
Speaking of ironic, the only unbeaten team remaining is the Atlanta Falcons, who have worse odds than the Texans, Patriots and 49ers to win this year’s Super Bowl. The Falcons have odds of 13/2, while the Packers and New York Giants are both 17/2, respectively. The banged up Baltimore Ravens are 9/1 to win this year’s title, while the Chicago Bears are 12/1.
Thanks in large part to their dramatic come-from-behind victory over the Chargers on Monday night in which they erased a 24-point halftime deficit, the Denver Broncos are now 14/1 to win this year’s NFL title. The Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers are all 35/1 to win, respectively, while the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks are both 40/1, respectively.
Some of the long shots to keep an eye on are the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings at 50/1, respectively, as well as the Detroit Lions at 60/1. Some believed the Cowboys would win the NFC East this year and the Lions are coming off a playoff appearance in 2011. The Vikings, meanwhile, are 4-2 but are coming off a road loss to the Washington Redskins, who are now 75/1 to win this season’s Super Bowl.
