Vikings’ incredible ATS streak stays alive
Hindsight is always 20/20 but if you would have managed to bet the Vikings every week this NFL season, you would have seen plenty of return on your investment.
Since failing to cover as 2.5-point road favorites in Week 1 at San Francisco, Minnesota has covered eight straight point spreads. The Vikings’ latest cover came on Sunday in Oakland when they beat the Raiders 30-14 as a 3-point road dog.
Here’s the official count when it comes to the Vikings’ incredible ATS run. They’ve been favored in six of their nine games this season and have covered the spread in eight of those contests (with the lone exception being their 20-3 loss to the 49ers in the season opener). They’ve been underdogs three times and are a perfect 3-0 ATS, which includes Sunday’s win over the Raiders.
Only once has Minnesota been favored or an underdog in a game with a point spread larger than 3.5. That came on October 4 when the Vikings were a 7-point underdog to the Broncos in Denver and covered easily in a 23-20 loss. That was subsequently the last time the Vikings lost a game, as they’ve rattled off five-straight victories.
If you’re looking to cash on the Vikings this Sunday, they’ll host NFC North rivals the Packers at 4:25PM ET. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Vikings are 1-point home favorites over the Pack, who haven’t covered the spread in four straight games.
