According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, the Falcons are actually favored at home, as they are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Vikings today. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 45.5 points. These two meet later today at 1PM ET on FOX.

Peterson has the Vikings at 7-3 on the season and 8-2 against the spread this year. After missing most of last season due to a suspension, Peterson has bounced back strong with 1,006 yards and six touchdowns. He is leading Minnesota to the second-ranked rushing attack in the NFL at 141.9 yards per game.

Atlanta could be up to the challenge of stopping Peterson, as the Falcons are ranked first in run defense this season under new coach Dan Quinn. They are allowing just 87.4 yards per game on the ground. Despite the stout run defense in regards to yards, the Falcons have allowed 11 rushing TDs this year, which ranks 30th in the league.

Atlanta is riding a three-game losing streak to put it at 6-4 overall. The Falcons have also failed to cover in six straight and are now 4-6 ATS on the season. The issue for Atlanta has been turnovers, as they have 10 interceptions and eight fumbles this year, especially in key moments.
