Minnesota Vikings DFS Spin
Justin Jefferson caught 9-of-12 targets for 150 yards in the Vikings’ Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers. Jefferson saw massive volume in Week 1, nothing new for the Vikings offense. He was the team’s leading receiver, but did not get looks in the endzone. The Buccaneers paid extra attention to Jefferson in Tampa territory, allowing rookie Jordan Addison to get lose for a touchdown. Jefferson also added a tackle on a Kirk Cousins interception. The top wide receiver in the league, Justin Jefferson is a constant fantasy start and will look to keep up his elite play in a Week 2 Thursday matchup against the Eagles.
Philadelphia Eagles DFS Spin
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni said D’Andre Swift will “sometimes” have a role “where he carries the load for the game.” Swift in Week 1 against the Patriots totaled two touches while Kenneth Gainwell took over as Philadelphia’s lead back. Now Gainwell is reportedly unlikely to play Thursday night against the Vikings after sustaining a rib injury against New England. Sirianni on Wednesday said Swift will “be in that role sometimes where he carries the load for the game, and he’ll be in the role sometimes like he was in last game. Again, we don’t ever want to come out with him only having those many touches. That’s just kind of how the flow went in the game. We had things called for him, but sometimes the ball doesn’t go for him in a certain way. That’s just the way the defense takes it away.” Look for Swift to see a bump in touches if Gainwell sits against Minnesota. Rashaad Penny and Boston Scott will also mix in.

Vikings vs. Eagles Prediction:
Give me the over. In Week 1, 12 of the 16 games fell under the total so I’m expected some regression to the mean in Week 2 and it starts tonight at the Linc. The Vikings couldn’t run the ball last week against the Bucs and I doubt they have more success tonight against the Eagles tonight. That means more passing, which means the potential for explosive plays and/or incompletions, which stop the clock. As for the Eagles, their offense was humming in the first half of their game last week against the Patriots and then they seemingly took their foot off the gas. The good news for the Eagles is that they’ll face a similar defense tonight as the one they just faced, as Brian Flores was once a protégé of Bill Belichick’s. The bad news for Minnesota? The Vikings don’t have the Patriots’ personnel. Points shouldn’t be at a premium tonight for the Eagles.
