Minnesota Vikings DFS Spin
Kirk Cousins completed 33-of-44 passes for 344 yards, two touchdowns, an interception, and two fumbles in the Vikings’ 20-17, Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers. In a day where the Vikings committed many errors, Kirk Cousins had three critical turnovers against the Buccaneers. His first fumble came on offensive line error after center Garrett Bradbury left the game due to injury. However, his second fumble killed a drive and his interception was into tight coverage in the red zone at the end of the first half. The Vikings’ pass game was not bad and Cousins connected with Jordan Addison and Alexander Mattison for touchdowns, but crucial errors hurt the offense in the first half, while it stagnated in the second half. Justin Jefferson was Cousins’ most reliable target, something that won’t change any time soon. Minnesota has a short turnaround to a Thursday night game and Cousins will be a borderline-QB1 if he can clean up on turnovers next week against the Eagles.
Philadelphia Eagles DFS Spin
Kenneth Gainwell saw 41 of the Eagles’ 68 running back snaps in the team’s Week 1 win over the Patriots. The Eagles’ backfield offered up multiple surprises in their Week 1 win over the Patriots. It started with Rashaad Penny being a healthy scratch, and ended with Gainwell dominating in snaps (41), rush attempts (14), and targets (4). Gainwell’s 18 opportunities were 15 more than D’Andre Swift, who played as a distant RB2, and could be a sign of things to come for the third-year back. It may be a few weeks before we feel comfortable enough to trust an Eagles running back on a week-to-week basis, but for at least one week, Gainwell is the leader in the clubhouse by a wide margin.

Vikings vs. Eagles Prediction:
Give me Philly. The Eagles defeated the Vikings 24-7 at the Linc last season and Jalen Hurts is 18-1 in his last 19 regular season starts. Kirk Cousins, meanwhile, imploded against the Eagles in Week 2 last season, completing just 59% of his passes, with three interceptions. Part of the issue for Cousins is that his No. 1 target, Justin Jefferson, struggled against Philly CB Darius Slay. Jefferson was started five times in that game last season when Slay was the nearest defender in coverage, with Slay recording more interceptions than Jefferson had catches. The Vikings defense looked good last week, but that was against Baker Mayfield and the Bucs. They’ll get a stiff test tonight versus the Eagles.
