Minnesota Vikings DFS Spin
Kirk Cousins completed 21-of-35 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings’ 27-22, Week 13 win over the Jets. Cousins wasn’t great, but he didn’t have to be as the Vikings’ defense was dialed in early and late to help carry the team. He was only sacked twice but Quinnen Williams and the Jets’ front seven provided plenty of pressure. Cousins connected late in the game with Justin Jefferson for a 10-yard touchdown to give the Vikings some cushion. Cousins will be a popular start in Week 14 against the Lions.
Detroit Lions DFS Spin
Jared Goff completed 31-of-41 passes for 340 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions’ 40-14, Week 13 win over the Jaguars. Making the Jaguars’ defense look like it wasn’t even on the field, Goff posted his most yards since Week 4, and second most of the season. Locked onto Amon-Ra St. Brown for 11/114/2, Goff also got things cooking with D.J. Chark and D’Andre Swift. Chark was coming in handy down the field, while ARSB and Swift tacked on some YAC. It was perfect pitch-and-catch mode for a quarterback who is at his best when he can get in rhythm and not have to force things deep. Taking advantage of his loaded supporting cast for multiple touchdowns more weeks than not, Goff will have QB2 relevance for Week 14 against the Vikings’ shaky pass defense.
