Vikings’ Jones set to play despite quad injury

Vikings RB Aaron Jones will play in the Wildcard Round against the Rams. Jones has been managing a quad injury for almost a month now, something that has capped his practice reps through the start of playoff preparations. He again sheds an injury designation on the team’s final injury report of the week as the Vikings prepare to face the Rams in Arizona for Wildcard Weekend.

Robinson charged with DUI

Demarcus Robinson has been charged with one count of misdemeanor DUI. The news release states that officers “observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment” from Robinson after they spotted him driving more than 100 mph on US-101 back on November 25. The 30-year-old wideout wasn’t suspended at the time, but could face discipline from the league — likely in the 2025 season — after the charge was filed.

Vikings vs. Rams Prediction:

Take Minnesota. These two teams met back in October and the Rams handed the Vikings a 10-point loss as a 2.5-point home dog. That said, the Vikings had just played the Lions in Minnesota the week prior. They lost 31-29 on a 44-yard Jake Bates field goal with 15 seconds remaining. Then they had a short week to prepare for an unfamiliar opponent on the West Coast. It wasn’t exactly the best situation for Minnesota.

I know there are concerns about Sam Darnold after he imploded against the Lions last Sunday in Detroit. He constantly bailed out of the pocket and succumbed to the pressure the Lions put on the pocket. That said, let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater. Darnold has been outstanding all season and the Rams aren’t the Lions defensively.

Vikings vs. Rams NFL Prediction: MINNESOTA VIKINGS -2.5
