Vikings vs. Rams Same Game Parlay: Will Matthew Stafford go over in Passing Yards?

Rams vs. 49ers Rams vs. 49ers

Will Matthew Stafford go over his passing yards total when the Rams host the Vikings in the final Wildcard NFL playoff game of the season? Will L.A. hold Aaron Jones under his rushing total? Read on for our Vikings vs. Rams Same Game Parlay predictions.

NFL Divisional Round SGP Recaps

My Chargers-Texans Same Game Parlay fell one leg short, as Joe Mixon rushed for over 71.5 yards. It was a similar outcome on Saturday night for my Steelers-Ravens SGP, which cashed the Derrick Henry rushing yards over and the Lamar Jackson rushing yards over, but came one leg short when Pat Freiermuth went under his 39.5-yard receiving mark. I’ll take 4-2 on my props for Saturday’s Wildcard games, but nonetheless the SGPs did not hit.

As for Sunday, my Broncos-Bills SGP hit, as Josh Allen threw multiple touchdown passes, Bo Nix rushed for over 29.5 yards and Khalil Shakir finished with over 52.5 receiving yards. That said, I took a risk with my Packers-Eagles SGP that blew up in my face. I had Saquon Barkley falling short of his 103.5-yard rushing total and he finished with 119 yards. It’s a shame too, as Josh Jacobs scored an anytime touchdown and Jayden Reed finished with over 43.5 receiving yards. My worse SGP of the weekend was the Commanders-Bucs matchup. Mike Evans did catch over 5.5 receptions, but Bucky Irving fell short of his yardage total, as did Jayden Daniels.

All-in-all, if you took my recommendations and played them all separately, then you would have went 8-5 on the weekend. Not bad.

Vikings vs. Rams Same Game Parlay: Aaron Jones under 59.5 Rushing Yards

Jones rushed 15 times for 75 yards last Sunday in the Vikings’ loss to the Lions. That said, he only handled 65.2% of Minnesota’s backfield touches as Cam Akers continues to see more opportunities. Jones is also currently dealing with a quad injury that has lingered for nearly a month. He’ll play tonight, but I don’t like this spot for him.

When these two teams met in Week 8, the Vikings rushed for a season-low 64 yards. Jones finished with 58 rushing yards on 19 carries in what was a close game until the final quarter. Everyone remembers when Saquon Barkley gashed the Rams for 255 yards in Week 12, but L.A. has been otherwise stout against the run.

Vikings vs. Rams Same Game Parlay: Matthew Stafford over 242.5 Passing Yards

Stafford ended the season with a thud from a passing yards standpoint. He didn’t play against the Seahawks in Week 18 as the Rams rested their starters. In his final regular season game, Stafford threw for just 189 yards against the Cardinals in Week 17. He also finished with 110 yards versus the Jets in Week 16 and 160 yards against the 49ers in Week 15.

That said, it’s the playoffs, which means we get Playoff Playcaller Sean McVay, which loves to put the ball in the air. Stafford threw for 367 yards against the Lions last season in the Wildcard round (on 36 attempts). He threw the ball 40 times for 283 yards against the Bengals in February of 2022. In the NFC Championship Game that same season, he threw for 337 yards on 45 attempts and posted 366 yards versus the Bucs in the Divisional round (on 38 attempts). The only time that Stafford threw for fewer than 242 yards in a playoff game under McVay was the Rams’ Wildcard victory over the Cardinals in the 2022 NFL playoffs. L.A. took a 21-0 lead into halftime that night and didn’t need Stafford to put the ball in the air much. I don’t think that’ll be the case tonight.

Vikings vs. Rams Same Game Parlay: Puka Nacua over 7.5 Receptions

The over is juiced to -146 for this prop, which hinders our payout quite a bit. Thus, if you wanted to swap this prop out for Justin Jefferson over 6.5 receptions or even Cooper Kupp over 4.5, I don’t blame you.

Nacua caught seven passes for 106 yards when these two teams played in Week 8. He did all of that damage despite only running 22 routes. It was a short week and he was coming off an injury, otherwise he may have caught double-digit passes.

When the Rams faced the Lions in the Wildcard round last season, Stafford and Nacua connected for nine receptions and 181 yards with one touchdown. Nacua will see plenty of action tonight.

3-Leg SGP Odds: +327 (Fanduel Sportsbook)
