Washington Football Team DFS Spin

Alex Smith completed 31-of-46 passes for 296 yards and a touchdown in Washington’s Week 13 win over the Steelers. Smith couldn’t get much going in the first half but came out hot to start the third frame. He completed two passes of 30 or more yards on his opening drive in the second half which ultimately resulted in a Peyton Barber score. His lone touchdown came on an easy completion to Logan Thomas, who was wide open and walked into the end zone. Smith now has a touchdown in three consecutive games and three games with at least 290 passing yards. He’ll be a low-end QB2 versus the 49ers next week.

San Francisco 49ers DFS Spin

Nick Mullens completed 26-of-39 passes for 316 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in the 49ers’ 34-24, Week 13 loss to the Bills. It was Mullens’ first three-score game of the season since taking over for injured Jimmy Garoppolo. All of Mullens’ touchdowns were short red-zone hookups to Brandon Aiyuk, Kyle Juszczyk, and a late one to Jordan Reed to pad the stats. Mullens can make plays in this league, but he does turn the ball over too much. His fourth-quarter interception on third-and-goal somewhat sealed this loss. Mullens will be a back-end QB2 in a Week 14 date with Washington.
