Oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv currently list Orange as the favorite at +130, while Blue is +225 and clear is +6/1. Yellow is also 6/1, while Red, Green and Purple are all 10/1, respectively.

Why is Orange the favorite? Because it’s been dumped on the winning head coach in three of the last six Super Bowls, including in Super Bowl 48 when Pete Carroll was doused following the Seahawks’ victory over the Broncos. When the Patriots beat the Seahawks in Super Bowl 49 last year, Bill Belichick received a blue Gatorade shower.

Orange, however, has not been the most popular liquid dumped on the winning head coach in the Super Bowl. While Orange has been the color three times since Super Bowl 35, Clear has been the liquid of choice four times since the Ravens beat the Giants in 2001. Yellow and Purple have both hit twice, respectively.

There was no Gatorade shower in Super Bowl 47 when the Ravens beat the 49ers and the Patriots didn’t dump anything on Belichick following Super Bowl 38 either.
