Will Browns’ pass defense struggle against Andy Dalton and the Bengals?

Will Browns continue to struggle?

The Cleveland Browns haven’t had much of a defense this season. Does that mean big things for Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals today?

View NFL Odds

According to oddsmakers at RealBets, the Bengals are a heavy favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -8.5 points against the Browns. The over/under total for the game has been set at 43.5 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on CBS.

The Browns (2-9, 4-7 ATS) rank among the worst in the league in most defensive categories. They are 30th in total defense (400.8 ypg), 31st in points allowed (28.2 pg) and 25th in passing yards allowed (265.2 pg). That bodes well for the Bengals (9-2, 9-1-1 ATS), who rank fourth in the NFL in scoring (27 ppg) and seventh in total offense (376.2 ypg). Dalton is a big reason why as he has thrown for 2,971 yards with 23 touchdowns and just six interceptions.

For Sunday’s game against the Browns, Dalton is listed with an over/under of 265.5 yards and 2.5 touchdowns passes. When the Bengals met the Browns back on Nov. 5, Dalton was 21 of 27 passing for 234 yards and three touchdowns. He has had three touchdown passes in five games this season and eclipsed 265 yards passing in five games.
