Will home teams sweep in the NFL?
LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – With four games on tap for the NFL Playoffs this weekend, all four home teams are currently favored, but will all four come out with a win?
According to oddsmakers from BetDSI, the odds of all four home teams (Green Bay, Seattle, Denver, New England) all winning has been set +190, while the odds of just one of them losing has been set at -230.
All four games this weekend have the home team favored by quite a large margin. The smallest spread has the Packers as a 6-point favorite against the Cowboys, while the largest margin has the Seahawks favored by 10.5 points against the Panthers. The Patriots and Broncos are both 7-point favorites against the Ravens and Colts, respectively.
Last season, the San Francisco 49ers pulled off a road win in Carolina to be the lone road team to win in the Divisional playoffs. In 2013, the Ravens upset the Broncos on the road to reach the AFC Championship. In 2012, it was the Giants that upset the Packers on the road. 2011 saw a pair of road teams win at this stage. The last time all four home teams won in the divisional playoffs was the 2005 NFL season.
