Will Fitz light up GB?
Larry Fitzgerald is one catch shy of 100 for the season. Will the veteran receiver continue his strong 2015 today when the Arizona Cardinals host the Green Bay Packers?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Arizona is favored at home in this game, as the Cardinals are getting odds of -4.5 points against the Packers. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 51 points. These two meet today at 4:25PM ET on FOX.
Fitzgerald is one catch shy of his first 100-catch season since 2007 and he could surpass his career-high mark of 103, which he set in 2005, his second season. Fitzgerald has 1,131 yards and seven touchdowns this season to go with his 99 catches, giving him his best season since 2011. His play has helped the Cardinals (12-2, 8-6 ATS) win the NFC West and maintain in the hunt for the top seed in the NFC.
In today’s contest, the Cardinals meet up with the Packers (10-4, 9-5 ATS), who are 11th against the pass, allowing just 235.1 yards per game. Oddsmakers still see good things for Fitzgerald, as they have listed his over/under at 6 receptions and 78.5 receiving yards. Despite his strong season, Fitzgerald has been held under 70 yards in four straight games. He has had eight games with at least 79 yards this season and 10 games with six catches or more. The Packers are coming off a performance last week where they allowed 207 yards to Raiders’ receivers, so don’t be surprised if GB struggles on the road again against the Cardinals’ weapons.
