Cardinals vs. Rams Week 17 Pick
Will the Rams struggle offensively again when they host the Cardinals at 4:25PM ET on Sunday?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Rams are 6.5-point home underdogs versus the Cardinals after opening as a 7-point dog. As for the total, the number hit the board at 41.5 and has been bet down to 40.5 at the majority of online and Vegas sports books.
Earlier this week, veteran receiver Larry Fitzgerald said that he wouldn’t announce his retirement ahead of time. “That’s not how I’m wired,” Fitzgerald said. ” Tim Duncan is more my speed.” Fitzgerald wants to finish his career in Arizona and some reporters expect that he’ll be back again in 2017. Meanwhile, John Brown (illness) returned to a limited practice session on Thursday and should suit up for the team’s finale on Sunday.
On the injury front for the Rams, Kenny Britt remained sidelined with a shoulder injury on Thursday and isn’t unlikely that he’ll play this weekend. The Rams have been out of the playoff race for weeks and after he notched 1,000 yards receiving last week, there’s no reason for him to risk further injury in a meaningless game against the Cardinals on Sunday.

OUR PREDICTION: The under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these two teams when the Rams host the game, and has cashed in 12 of the last 17 meetings overall. The under is also 8-1 in the Rams’ last nine divisional games, is 19-8 in their last 27 games overall, and is 11-4 in their last 15 games coming off a loss. On the other side, the under is 6-2 in the Cardinals’ last eight games against NFC West opponents and is 13-5-1 in their last 19 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous contest. With how feeble the Rams’ are offensively, there’s no reason to play the over on Sunday.
