According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, the Chiefs are favored on the road, as they are getting odds of -3 points against the Raiders. The over/under total for this game has been set at 44.5 points. These two meet today at 4:05PM ET on CBS.
Alex Smith isn’t someone that is likely to throw for 300 yards and four touchdowns, but he has been a very steady player all season, especially in this five-game win streak. Smith has 2,681 yards and 12 touchdowns this season with just three interceptions. He hasn’t had an INT since Sept. 28. And he has completed at least 63 percent of his passes in four of the five games in this win streak for the Chiefs (6-5, 6-5 ATS).
Today, Smith faces an Oakland (5-6, 6-5 ATS) defense that hasn’t been strong against the pass. The Raiders rank 29th in the NFL in pass defense, allowing 282.7 yards per game. They have also allowed 19 touchdowns passes to QBs and 110 rushing yards. For Smith, he has been given an over/under of 20.5 completions and 240.5 passing yards in today’s contest. Smith has thrown for over 240 yards in two straight and six of his last nine games while completing at least 20 passes five times in that span. The way the KC offense runs, look for a lot of short completions that will slowly pile up the yards against Oakland.
