Beckham to stay hot?
Despite being one of the best receivers in the NFL already, will Odell Beckham find himself limited when the New York Giants host the unbeaten Carolina Panthers?
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, Carolina is favored on the road, as the Panthers are getting odds -4 points against the Giants. The over/under total for the game has been set at 48 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET and the game airs live on FOX.
If the Giants (6-7, 7-5-1 ATS) are going to hand the Panthers (13-0, 10-3 ATS) their first loss this season, it will be up to Beckham to have a big role. OBJ is currently third in the NFL in receiving yards at 1,320 yards and also leads the NFL in TD catches with 12. He is currently on a major hot streak, having over 100 yards in six straight games with eight touchdown receptions in those six games.
For this game against Carolina, oddsmakers have listed Beckham with an over/under of 100.5 receiving yards. The Giants meet up with the fifth-ranked pass defense in Carolina today. The Panthers are giving up just 223.2 yards per game through the air. When it comes to receivers, Carolina has given up just 1,937 yards and nine touchdowns this season. Beckham should be heavily covered, but he has been all season. He faces the top CB each week and still has eight games over 100 yards this season. The test will be on Carolina CB Josh Norman, who likely will draw the assignment. Norman has 16 pass deflections and four interceptions this season.
