Can Rams limit Palmer?
The Arizona Cardinals look for another NFC West win today when they face the St. Louis Rams. Will Carson Palmer struggle on the road against St. Louis?
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, the Cardinals are favored on the road in this game, as they are getting odds of -4 points against the Rams. The over/under total for the game has been set at 43 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on FOX.
When it comes to Palmer’s odds for today’s game, he has an over/under of 292.5 passing yards and 2.5 touchdown passes. For the TD passes, the over has a line of -215 while the under is at +175.
Palmer isn’t getting talked about in the MVP mix, but he certainly could be among the candidates. The 12-year QB has thrown for 3,337 yards and 27 touchdowns with just nine interceptions this year while completing 63.8 percent of his passes for the Cardinals (9-2, 6-5 ATS). If you’re a fantasy football player and you have Palmer, you haven’t been disappointed many weeks.
Despite that, Palmer could be facing a trap game today against the Rams (4-7, 4-6-1 ATS). St. Louis is allowing the eighth fewest passing yards this season at 2,688 (230 per game) and they have given up only 12 touchdown passes, which ranks fourth in the league. When these two met back on Oct. 4, Palmer did throw for 352 yards, but had just one touchdown with one interception. He is also coming off a 19-13 win over the 49ers last week in which he didn’t record a touchdown pass for the first time this season.
