Smith to shine again for KC?
Alex Smith is having a career year for the Kansas City Chiefs and he looks to keep KC in the playoff hunt today against the Baltimore Ravens.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Chiefs are favored on the road today, as they are getting odds of -6.5 points against the Ravens. The over/under total for the game has been set at 41 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET and the game airs live on CBS.
The Chiefs (8-5, 7-6 ATS) are tied for a Wild Card spot right now with Pittsburgh thanks to a 7-game winning streak. Smith has been a big part of that, as he continues to manage games and avoid turnovers. The 11-year NFL veteran has thrown for 3,034 yards and 15 touchdowns this season with just 4 interceptions. He is just under 300 yards shy of his career-high for a season and 8 TD passes of his career-best mark. Those number could certainly improve today as the Chiefs take on the Ravens (4-9, 3-8-2 ATS), who have struggled defensively all season.
Oddsmakers expect big things from Smith today, as he has been given an over/under of 212.5 passing yards and 1.5 touchdown passes. Baltimore is currently allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing QBs, as the Ravens have given up 3,406 passing yards with 27 TDs and just 4 INTs to quarterbacks in 2015. Smith has thrown for multiple TD passes in just four games this season, but he has done it in two of his last three. He has eclipsed 213 passing yards in seven games this season.
