Will Tom Brady Record Most Passing Yards on Championship Sunday? 1/17/18

Most Passing Yards Prop Odds

Will Tom Brady record the most passing yards in the Conference Championship games this Sunday?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Brady is the favorite to record the most passing yards on Championship Sunday. The Patriots signal-caller has -140 odds to pull off the feat, while Vikings quarterback Case Keenum is a distant second at +250.

Blake Bortles of the Jaguars, meanwhile, is +400 to throw for the most yards of the four quarterbacks playing this weekend, while Nick Foles is the long-shot at +700.

Going with the chalk isn’t always the most profitable way to beef up your bankroll but in this case, Brady is almost a sure-fire bet to throw for the most yards. At some fantasy websites like 4for4.com, Brady is projected to throw for 275.3 yards, which is well ahead of Bortles’ projection of 229. Keenum, meanwhile, is projected to throw for 224.7 yards while Foles is barely predicted to get over the 200-yard mark at 201.2.

As of this writing, the betting total for the AFC title game is sitting at 46.5 while the over/under for the NFC championship is 38.5. That’s a good indication of how oddsmakers view how each of these games will play out. They’re expected a low-scoring, defensive struggle in the Vikings-Eagles game but there could be more scoring in the AFC title game.

Thus, while Brady is the best play at -140, Bortles offers the most value +400. The Jaguars need to lean on their defense and their running game if they’re going to pull off the upset in New England but if the Patriots jump out to an early lead, Jacksonville will have no choice but to throw to get back in the game. Bortles doesn’t have to win the game in order for you to cash this prop bet. In fact, he could play like absolute garbage and you still win, just as long as he picks up yards in chunks.
