Browns vs. Steelers Pick
With the Steelers set to rest their starters on Sunday, will their game against the Browns fall under for bettors at 1:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Steelers are 6-point home favorites versus the Browns while the over/under currently sits at 43 points. Pittsburgh opened as an 11-point favorite but with Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown expected to have the day off, the line dropped significantly. The total also dropped from 44.5 down to 43.

Robert Griffin III cleared concussion protocol and returned to practice on Thursday. Coach Hue Jackson said RGIII will start on Sunday barring any setbacks, although there’s always a chance he could be benched for Cody Kessler. Running back Duke Johnson (ankle) and cornerback Joe Haden (neck) also returned to practice on Thursday. Even though Cleveland has nothing to play for, it would appear as though both players will give it a go on Sunday.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin confirmed on Wednesday that Bell, Roethlisberger and Brown will not play in Sunday’s Week 17 finale. It makes sense with Pittsburgh securing the AFC North title and the No. 3 seed last Sunday with a win over Baltimore. DeAngelo Williams could see starters’ snaps in place of Bell, while Landry Jones will start for Roethlisberger.

OUR PREDICTION: With the Browns having nothing to play for and the Steelers set to play their backups, this should be a low-scoring affair throughout. The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams and 4-1 in the last five meetings in Pittsburgh. The under has also cashed in 14 of the Steelers’ last 19 games overall, is 19-7-1 in their last 27 divisional games and is 6-1 in the Browns’ last seven games overall. Don’t expect many fireworks in Pittsburgh with Jones and RGIII set to start for their respective teams on Sunday.
