TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -The Arizona Cardinals signed three free agents on Friday and re-signed center Nick Leckey.
Cornerback Ralph Brown and defensive ends Rodney Bailey and Joe Tafoya signed one-year contracts. Leckey, a restricted free agents, signed his one-year qualifying offer.
Brown played in all 16 games, four as a starter, for the Cleveland Browns last season. He had 37 tackles, 22 solos, and nine passes defensed. He was the New York Giants’ fifth-round draft pick out of Nebraska in 2000 and spent four seasons with the Giants and two with the Minnesota Vikings before signing with Cleveland.
Bailey appeared in 12 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, making four tackles. He was the Steelers’ sixth-round draft pick out of Ohio State in 2001.
Tafoya played in 13 games for Seattle last season, making three tackles on defense and nine on special teams. It’s his second stint with the Cardinals. He spent six days in Arizona’s training camp in 2004.
Leckey started 11 games at center for Arizona last season. He will compete with free agent acquisition Al Johnson for the center job.
