DENVER (AP) -In a July 18 story about the slaying of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams, The Associated Press erroneously reported on the testimony of federal agent Robert Fuller at a court hearing for Willie Dewayne Clark, who police say is a “person of interest” in Williams’ slaying. Fuller testified that Clark had written a letter denying responsibility for a homicide, not that Clark had denied responsibility for killing Williams. While Fuller was testifying, he and prosecutors were discussing a slaying that occurred Jan. 1, the day Williams was killed.
Clark faces drug charges but has not been arrested or charged in Williams’ slaying.
