EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -The New York Giants signed defensive tackle Marcus Bell and defensive back Michael Stone on Friday.
Bell had a career season with Detroit in 2006, recording 52 tackles before being placed on injured reserve with a broken hand. A fourth-round daft choice by Arizona, the 325-pounder spent three years with the Cardinals and the last three with the Lions.
The 28-year old Bell started seven games at nose tackle for the Lions last season. He has appeared in 86 games with 21 starts, 165 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks.
Stone spent his first four seasons with the Cardinals and then played a year with New England and last season with Houston. The 29-year-old, who has played both cornerback and safety, also had 17 special teams tackles with Arizona in 2004 and New England in 2005.
