ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -Washington Redskins guard Randy Thomas had minor surgery on his right knee Wednesday, ruling him out for this weekend’s minicamp.
Thomas, who started all 16 games at right guard last season, is expected to recover in time for the start of training camp in late July.
The Redskins open a mandatory three-day minicamp Friday. They were scheduled to have the last of their voluntary spring practices Wednesday, but coach Joe Gibbs gave the players the rest of the day off following the morning meetings.
