INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Colts backup quarterback Jim Sorgi has signed an $850,000 one-year tender to stay with Indianapolis.
The team announced the deal to keep its backup to Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning on Friday. Sorgi was a restricted free agent.
In three seasons, he has played in 10 games – mostly in mop-up duty. He’s completed 59-of-90 passes for 619 yards, thrown five touchdowns and one interception. His career passer rating is 99.3.
