FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -New York Jets wide receivers Jerricho Cotchery and Brad Smith are doubtful to play against Buffalo after missing a third straight day of practice because of injuries.
Despite some published reports that Cotchery had already been ruled out, coach Rex Ryan denied that was the case on Friday.
Cotchery injured his left hamstring in practice last Thursday and sat out two days before playing Monday night at Miami. Smith injured a quadriceps in the loss to the Dolphins.
Right tackle Damien Woody (right foot) didn’t practice, and is questionable. Defensive end Shaun Ellis (bruised knee) and cornerback Donald Strickland (right ankle) were limited, and are questionable. Cornerback Lito Sheppard (right quad) is probable.
