The Favorites

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Penguins have the best-odds to win the Stanley Cup at 8/1. Pittsburgh, of course, hoisted Lord Stanley’s in back-to-back years. The team that oddsmakers figures to give the Pens a run for their money is Edmonton, as the Oilers have the next-best odds to win it all at 17/2.

Meanwhile, the Lightning are in the mix at 10/1 to win the Cup. Tampa Bay is just three years removed from winning the Eastern Conference Finals before being eliminated in six games by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2015 Stanley Cup. The Washington Capitals are also 10/1 to win this year’s NHL title.
