Local law enforcement are working with the Colorado Avalanche to investigate threats made against forward Nazem Kadri. “The Avalanche organization is aware of threats made toward Nazem Kadri and is working with local law enforcement to investigate,” the team said in a statement on Sunday. Kadri bowled over St. Louis netminder Jordan Binnington, who was injured on the play, along with Calle Rosen on Saturday night. Binnington won’t be able to return to the series because of a lower-body injury. Akim Aliu, who is co-founder of the Hockey Diversity Alliance, tweeted on Sunday that he has spoken to Kadri about the Avalanche forward being the subject of racist attacks and threats because of the incident.

Ville Husso will be in the crease for Game 4 of Round 2 against Colorado on Monday night. Husso played in relief of Jordan Binnington, who was injured on Saturday. He will get much more playing time now that Binnington has been ruled out for the remainder of the series. The team has plenty of faith in him despite a rocky opening round against Minnesota.
