Max Domi scored a goal in Thursday’s 3-2 shootout win over the Florida Panthers. This was Domi’s first goal as a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets (Josh Anderson, who the Jackets traded to Montreal for Domi, picked up his fourth goal of the season tonight). The 25-year-old’s tally came off a one-timer on the power play in the third period, and it gave Columbus a 2-1 lead at the time. Domi finished the game with a minus-1 rating, two penalty minutes and five shots on goal in 17:19 of ice time. He has three points in eight games this season. Playing Domi with Patrik Laine (whenever he’s ready to join the lineup) would give him a nice fantasy bump. Alexandre Texier scored the winner in the shootout for Columbus.

Chicago Blackhawks DFS Spin

Kevin Lankinen allowed one goal on 42 shots during Wednesday’s 2-1 shootout loss to the Nashville Predators. This was an unfortunate result for Lankinen, as he was really good throughout this game. All he allowed was a goal to Nick Cousins in the third frame and a shootout goal to Matt Duchene. The 25-year-old has made four appearances for the Blackhawks this season and he’s given up two goals or fewer in three of those outings. Lankinen has a 2-0-2 record with a 2.18 goals-against-average and a .931 save percentage in 2021. Chicago came into the season with the worst goaltending situation in the NHL, but it looks like they may have a solid netminder in Lankinen.

Blue Jackets vs. Blackhawks Prediction

The Blue Jackets are just 2-10 in their last 12 meetings with the Blackhawks in Chicago and have dropped 21 of 28 in this series overall. The home team is also 7-3 in the last 10 meetings, while the Blackhawks are 6-1 in their last seven games at the United Center and 5-2 in their last seven games as a home dog. The Blue Jackets are also 3-8 in their last 11 games, are 1-4 in their last five road contests and are 1-5 in their last six games when playing the second game of a back-to-back.
