Columbus Blue Jackets DFS Spin
The Columbus Blue Jackets have allowed six third period goals in just two games. The Blue Jackets have played exceedingly well through the first two periods in both games, allowing only one goal in each contest but the third period has been a different story. Coach John Tortorella has to get things cleaned up in the final stanza or it is going to be a long year in the Ohio capital.
Detroit Red Wings DFS Spin
Bobby Ryan made his team debut in Saturday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes, and he notched his first goal. Ryan was on the mend Thursday, recovering from an undisclosed injury. He didn’t waste much time, opening the scoring at 2:44 of the second period on a pass from Filip Zadina. He will give the Red Wings nice veteran leadership and some occasional scoring punch. While his plus/minus rating is sure to take a beating in the Motor City, Ryan still has a little fantasy usefulness in deeper pools. Next up is a battle against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday.
Blue Jackets vs. Red Wings Prediction
The favorite is 42-15 in the last 57 series meetings between these two teams, while the Blue Jackets are a perfect 6-0 in their last six games in Detroit and 21-6 in their last 27 games versus the Red Wings overall. Dating back to last season, the Red Wings are just 5-11 in their last 16 games as a home dog and 9-20 in their last 29 home games overall.
