Jordan Binnington allowed three goals on 26 shots in Monday’s 4-3 shootout loss to the Arizona Coyotes. Clayton Keller put the tying goal past Binnington with under a second to go in the game to push it to an extra frame. The 27-year-old made 2 saves in overtime but was beat twice in the shootout and the Blues dropped a point. Despite allowing three goals in regulation, Binnington made some big saves including a no-looker on Christian Dvorak. However, his rebound control looked suspect at times, which allowed the Coyotes to remain in the game. Binnington now has a 6-2-2 record and a 2.64 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.

Coach Rick Tocchet thinks that Oliver Ekman-Larsson will be available to play on Friday against St. Louis. Ekman-Larsson participated in Thursday’s practice after he was on the ice for Wednesday’s optional skate. Tocchet still wanted to check in with the Coyotes captain to make sure he is ready, but it looks like OEL could be back on Friday night.
