Hoffman beat Antti Raanta at 1:49 of overtime for the game-winning tally, helped out by Oskar Sundqvist and Vince Dunn. he also added the assist on Jordan Kyrou’s goal at 14:23 of the third period to help force overtime, while ending up with a plus-1 rating, a blocked shot, a minor penalty and a hit in 14:50 of ice time across 20 shifts. After just one goal and four points in eight games in the month of January, Hoffman has posted four goals and six points with a plus-4 rating in six games in February.
Arizona Coyotes DFS Spin
Antti Raanta allowed five goals on 35 shots in Saturday’s 5-4 overtime loss against the St. Louis Blues. Raanta entered the first and second intermissions with a one-goal deficit, but Nick Schmaltz and Dryden Hunt gave him a temporary lead midway through the third period. However, Jordan Kyrou beat Raanta to tie the game and force overtime late in the third, and Mike Hoffman beat Raanta at 1:49 of the extra session for the 5-4 win. Raanta slipped to 2-0-1 with a 3.63 goals-against average and .902 save percentage. As long as Darcy Kuemper remains healthy, Raanta’s starting opportunities will be few and far between.
Blues vs. Coyotes Prediction
The over has cashed in eight of the Blues’ last 11 games overall, is 9-4 the last 13 times they’ve been favored and is 5-1 in their last six games coming off a win. On the other side, the over is 12-4-1 in the Coyotes’ last 17 games overall, is 9-3 in their last 12 games as an underdog and is 4-1 when playing the third game of a 3-in-4 situation.
