However, the Blues netminder was sharp in the shootout, stopping Jonathan Marchessault and Alex Tuch to give the road team the victory. He improves to 4-1-1 with a 2.74 goals-against average and .913 save percentage in his six starts. The Blues are back in action for the second end of the double dip at T-Mobile Arena against VGK on Thursday.

Max Pacioretty scored three goals for his seventh-career hat trick in Tuesday’s 5-4 shootout loss against the St. Louis Blues. Pacioretty doubled his season goal total to six, pulling back into a tie with Colorado’s Mikko Rantanen for the NHL lead. He ended up squeezing off a game-high eight shots while posting a minor penalty and two blocked shots in 21:26 of ice time on 25 shifts. That’s quite a way to snap a three-game goal drought. He had a power play goal in Tuesday’s game, too, his first of the season on the man advantage. He’ll look to keep it cooking on Thursday night in the rematch against the Blues.
