Jordan Binnington allowed five goals on 35 shots in Monday’s 5-1 road loss against the Vegas Golden Knights. Binnington fell behind 1-0 with a goal to Jonathan Marchessault at 8:41 of the first period, but Vince Dunn tied it up at 6:42 of the second period with helpers to Vladimir Tarasenko and Jaden Schwartz. The third period is when it all fell apart, as Mark Stone, Keegan Kolesar, Williams Karlsson and Stone (again) notched four unanswered goals to pull away. The Blues are back at it Thursday night in Minnesota.

Cam Talbot turned aside 28 shots in Wednesday’s 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks. Talbot was probably kicking himself after seeing the replay on Derek Grant’s goal that he probably should’ve had but he otherwise looked very solid. With the win, the 33-year-old remains undefeated while getting the start at Minnesota’s home arena. Talbot didn’t have to be spectacular but still made timely saves in a tight game which gave his team the opportunity to win the game. He owns an 8-5-1 record with a 2.50 goals-against average and .919 save percentage.
Blues vs. Wild NHL Prediction
The Blues are just 5-12 in their last 17 games as an underdog, are 2-6 in their last eight games overall and 1-5 in their last six games when facing an opponent with a winning record. The Wild, meanwhile, are 8-0 in their last eight games as a home favorite, are 10-1 in their last 11 home games and 16-5 in their last 21 games as a favorite.
NHL PREDICTION: MINNESOTA WILD -125
