St. Louis Blues DFS Spin
Ville Husso stopped all 37 shots that he faced in Monday’s 4-0 win in Game 1 over the Minnesota Wild. While David Perron netted a hat-trick in Game 1, Husso was far and away the MVP of the game which is saying something. Husso made an unbelievable stop on Kirill Kaprizov in the opening period which set the stage for his performance for the rest of the night. The 27-year-old was locked in from start to finish and out-did himself with a flurry of massive stops in the second period to keep his team’s 2-0 lead in tact. He will most certainly see the net again in game 2 on Wednesday night.
Minnesota Wild DFS Spin
Marc-Andre Fleury allowed four goals on 31 shots in Monday’s 4-0 loss in Game 1 against the St. Louis Blues. Fleury may have won nine games since joining the Wild but his rebound control was of concern in those games and it continued in game one of the playoffs. Every single one of the Blues goals came off of juicy rebounds that, for all intents and purposes, could’ve been gobbled up had he not been fighting the puck the entire night. Head coach Dean Evason has a decision to make to either go back to Fleury for Game 2 on Wednesday, or to go with Cam Talbot who is waiting in the wings.
Blues vs. Wild Betting Prediction
The Blues are 14-3 in their last 17 games versus the Wild and are 4-1 in their last five games in Minnesota. The underdog in this series is also 8-3 in the last 11 meetings, while the Blues are 4-1 in their last five games as an underdog and 7-2 in their last nine games as a road dog. The Wild, meanwhile, are just 1-6 in their last seven Conference Quarterfinals games and are winless in their last four playoff games when listed as betting chalk.
