Tuukka Rask made 16 saves in Monday’s 3-2 overtime win against the New York Islanders. Rask was beat twice by perfect shots from Oliver Wahlstrom and Mathew Barzal but it was an otherwise very quiet night in his crease as the Islanders only mustered up 18 shots on goal in the game. The Bruins netminder wasn’t tested on many occasions but still put together a solid performance and was credited with the win. Rask owns a 15-5-2 record with a 2.28 goals-against average and .913 save percentage on the season.

Alex Ovechkin (lower body) is still considered day-to-day, per coach Peter Laviolette. Ovechkin was a full participant in Monday’s practice, but it hasn’t been determined yet if he will play on Tuesday night in Washington’s regular-season finale. Laviolette expects to know more about the status of the team’s injured players tomorrow. He added that he is hopeful that Ovechkin will be ready for the start of the playoffs.
