Bruins vs. Devils Public Betting: Bettors Backing New Jersey

As of this writing, our NHL Public Betting Page shows that 55% of bets are on the Devils moneyline. That said, this page is updated frequently so make sure that you click on the link provided to get the most up-to-date public betting information.

Marchand one of each in Monday’s win vs. Sharks

Brad Marchand generated one goal and one assist in a 6-3 win against the Sharks on Monday. Marchand had the secondary helper on the first of Charlie Coyle’s two third-period goals before scoring one of Boston’s two empty-netters. The 36-year-old Marchand has two goals and three helpers in his last five outings. He has registered 17 goals and 37 points through 48 appearances this campaign.

Markstrom makes 18 saves in 2-1 loss

Jacob Markstrom made 18 saves on 20 shots in Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Ottawa. Markstrom was beaten twice at even strength on goals by Zack Ostapchuk and Artem Zub in Sunday’s defeat. The 34-year-old Markstrom has lost three consecutive contests, and although he’s 2-2-3 through seven appearances in January, he’s posted a serviceable .912 save percentage and 2.38 GAA in that span. For the season, the 6-foot-6 goaltender holds a 21-9-5 record, .912 save percentage and 2.20 GAA through 35 outings. His next chance to return to the win column will be in a home matchup against the Bruins on Wednesday.

Bruins vs. Devils Betting Prediction

Take the under. The Devils have been an under-producing machine of late. In New Jersey’s last 10 games, the under is 9-1. Including their 2-1 loss to the Senators on January 19, the Devils have now been held to one goal or less in three of their last four games. They’ve been held to three or fewer goals in 10 straight contests. On the other side, the Bruins haven’t scored fewer than four goals in four straight games and are coming of a six-goal output versus the Sharks. That said, I do feel as though they’re in for an offensive dud.

Bruins vs. Devils Prediction: UNDER 5.5 (+100)
